Beautiful mountain village. Holds a special place in my heart because Vourliotes school was the first school I worked at as a Computer Science teacher.
METAXA LIKNON
Tucked into a century-old Muscat vineyard above Vourliotes, Metaxa Liknon is the birthplace of Greece's most storied spirit. Since 1888, aged distillates have matured here amid terraced stone walls cascading toward the Aegean. Wander underground chambers, taste through decades of Metaxa in a cellar carved into the hillside, and unwind at an open-air bar beneath a vine-woven pergola — a journey through craft, landscape, and time on the slopes of Mount Ambelos. Εξαιρετικό φαγητό και service, καλή επιλογή κρασιών και καλή μπύρα. Σε απίστευτα καλή θέση δίπλα στην θάλλασα, στα Αυλάκια που η θάλασσα είναι σχεδόν πάντα ήρεμη. Δυστυχώς φέτος ύψωσαν ένα γυάλινο τείχος μπροστά στην θάλασσα, αλλά υπάρχει η δυνατότητα να καθίσεις και έξω από το τείχος. Πριν πας πάρε τηλέφωνο και κλείσε τραπέζι έξω από το τείχος.

Antigoni has created something unique in Pythagorion. A delicatessen that makes go again and again. Her pastrami sandwich is better than anything that I have tried in Greece. When you visit Pythagorion you have to go. Keep in mind that the Pastrami sandwich is served until 5 in the afternoon, after 5 you can have her platters, and of course a great selection of wines and beers. If you are a beer lover try Nissos Apocalypse.

Manolates
The most beautiful mountain village of Samos. A beutiful drive through the nightingale valley starting from Agios Konstantinos will bring you to Manolates. There are no cars allowed in the village and there is a free parking lot at the entrance of the village.
Cafe del Mundo
Maybe the nicest bar in Samos. In potami beutiful view of the sea and Kerkis mountain, beautiful sunset, good music and snacks. Don't miss it.
Hippy's Restaurant Beach Bar
One of the oldest restaurants in Samos, under new management. Great food right next to the beach. You can move from your chair on the beach to the restaurant and back.
Archontissa
In potami, just over the waterfalls you will find Archontissa, a restaurant right on top of potami gorge. Beutifull setting, great food, nice people.
To Tzivaeri
A relatively new addition to the great restaurants of Karlovasi. Konstantinos and Hrysa will not dissapoint you, great food, good music, one of the best restaurants in Karlovasi to see the sunset.
Tsarlatanos
Right at the central square of Karlovasi, beautiful bar, with great music, beers and service by Manos and Maria.
Sta Kerata tou Tavrou
In the beautiful square of Meseo Karlovasi. Great music, beers and service. Don't forget to try Nick's smashed burger, one of the best in Greece (I am not exaggerating).
Akamatra
In Karlovasi the best restaurant is Akamatra, in Paleo Karlovasi, on the way to Agia Triada, in a tiny square (Akamatra). Great food, atmosphere, service. In the summer you have to call before you go. It's usually packed.
Orizontas
This is the restaurant that started the gourmet cuisine in Samos and still keeps the first place. Sitting in the entrance of Platanos has a beautiful view of both the North and South side of Samos and mount Kerkis, one of the best places to enjoy the sunset. Highligh of the restaurant is Aggelos, a great guy with deep knowledge of wine and food. This is a must go when you visit Samos.

If you like Rock and Blues, great beer, beautiful atmospere, then Evi's Place is the place to be. Live every Wednesday. Don't miss it. One of the best bars in Samos.

A family run restaurant. Stavroula (the mother) cooks, Andreas (the father) produces most of the stuf they cook and coordinates, Dimitra (daughter) and Yannis (son) serve. A beautiful family cooking great food at reasonable prices at the beutiful square of Konteika. If you don't go you will miss great night out.
